I am stuck with Comcast here; someone needs to step in & set these guys straight. In addition to that new policy, folks in my area have simple web surfing/browsing issues that never seem to get resolved.

That is main reason that I dumped Comcast. Their tech support and customer service, have no clue.

They know exactly what they are doing - they are trained to act that way...

Unfortunately, cable is my only (affordable) high speed option.

Comcrap, as I so affectionately call them, never appealed to me, since I'm almost constantly downloading stuff (I'm not at liberty to say what due to certain forum rules ) so their "speed boost" wouldn't do anything.

I actually know a few kids who are switching to Wide Open West (the ISP I have) because of this data usage cap. Since WOW is a small-area service, they'd never dream of limiting anything... since they don't have quite the demographic Comcast does. I used to think the occasional few-hour downtime was bad... but now I'm glad I don't have Comcast.
