Plz help: Nero 8.1.1 - Burn process failed - Reset occurred - Invalid write state

although it's not a DVD prob, i'm posting in this forum coz i'm feeling hopeless. i tried everything, including installing upgraded version of nero (9.0.9.4b-trial), some other burning softwares like ashampoo burning studio 7, cdbxp etc. i turned DMA ON for secondary chanel too. but still i'm getting this Burn process failed - Reset occured - 'Invalid write state' error while burning blank CD-R using Nero Express 8.1.1. what do i need to fix this prob? can anybody plz help me out?

    thanks a tonne!

Well there could be several reasons besides software why burning fails, that's a 3 yr old slimline combo burner, not very good when new

      Your blanks may be bad

      You don't have much ram

You might try burning slower with better media

Another test is try to boot the computer with a bootable cd or dvd, if that fails the drive may be bad

Even if that works I reccomend that people with laptops save their internal drives and use a good external for everyday use
