    Car Video Capture Question

I need input from those of you in the know. Please do take the time to respond. Note, car in question is a 2-door hatchback. I'm looking to design an audio/video capture system which will grab audio and video from both inside and outside of a car at multiple vantage points for purposes of a documentary-style video log. Here are my specifications: 1. Video Channel 1 - Wide angle "front" view. This angle would capture both the faces and upper bodies of the driver and a passenger. I'd propose mounting the camera on the top of the dash? 2. Audio Channel 1 - this would be a semi directional mic which would effectively capture chatter between a driver and a passenger. 3. Video Channel 2 - Wide angle "rear" view. This angle would capture all of the people in the car. I'd propose a location where the roof line meets the rear window of the hatchback. 4. Audio Channel 2 - same as Channel 1, but corresponding to Video Channel 2. 5. Video Channel 3 - Standard angle camera which would aim directly at the driver for a more direct, "interview-type" setting. 6. Audio Channel 3 - Directional mic for Video Channel 3 7. Video Channels 4-7 - Wide angleExterior views of the front, rear, left, and right of the car. These do not need to have mics. I'd suspect these could be mounted on either the interior or the exterior of the car. My preference would be on the exterior, pending cost. I'm not sure of the best/most robust fashion in which to capture the data. My preference is to have distinct channels as described above so as to allow for post capture processing/mixing. I'd just as soon prefer to continually gather the date, but I think this may pose a problem with storage capacity. I'd argue that a solid-state 200 gig hard drive which is purged every evening onto disk drive(s). A couple other items: It would be of benefit to be able to "tune" the cameras. As such, orbital tuned cameras may be of benefit. These cameras also need to be very small.
