Is Facebook Profitable?

I’m new in this forum and this is my first post.

While surfing I came across a discussion where some say Facebook is not profitable yet. How this can happen? According to them it sells stock to cover expenses. What do you think? Any idea?

Facebook and other profile sites where you have to use your real name are bad news. With Facebook, I've had major problems where I had to involve the police and Facebook was mentioned on the front page of my local newspaper over issues. Also, it's been reported a few times about a virus going around in Facebook where people get e-mails from people that they don't know and there's kids on there lying about their ages.

What I hate about it as well is the fact that people that are not in your Friends List can see who's in your Friends List and when I had somebody giving me trouble he went around giving my friends the same trouble as well.

Well, as you have friends in real are playing Facebook, you will found some funny on it. But if stay on it for a long time, it is really very boring. The only thing you can do is playing games, playing this and playing that.
And i think WEB 2.0 could be better, it should offer more useful infors. Only the useful things can be sold well.
