    Streaming to TV

    Hi,

I want to know if it exists hardware that can connect to an audio or video stream server (mms, http, ...) over IP and sends it to the tv. I'll use VideoLAN to stream videos from my PC to the network. Thanks.

even up2date blu-ray player can do so

Samsung's BD-P 3600 for example can connect via w-lan to your pc and output the video to your tv/avr

then there are video streaming clients like for example FANTEC TV-FHDS + WiFi Media Player

I search for not so expensive hardware. I just want a box that I plug on my LAN and my TV, instead of buying a computer just for that.

        Sony TV

Hi, I have a sony TV that could double as a computer monitor. It makes life a lot easier.

My computer is in my room, at 40' from my TV. My LAN is wireless. My router and my TV are in the same room. I just want a box that I can connect to my router and my TV. I found one, but it use proprietary data streaming. And the software is not compatible with my Windows version (2000).
