    flv to Divx

    Hi!

I have a Pioneer 3200BT car DVD which only reads Divx and a Samsung UN55D8000 that uses allshare which doesnt deem to accept flv, thus the only format that will allow me to share music videos with the car deck and tv is Divx. I like to download music videos which most of the time are in flv, can someone pls point me to a good converter which doesn't mess up the image quality?

    Thx

I've been using this encoder lately and I like it:
    TEncoder

I can't find a list of supported input types. In the drop down for Containers it lists FLV, DIVX and AVI among others. From that I think it's worth a test to see if it will also input FLV.

    I recommend version 1.4 Portable.
Note that when you first bring 1.4 up you will get an error message about some subtitle style file not found. Problem with Preview.

The preview does work. I've already notified the author about the error dialog.

Also the author seems good about answering questions and suggestions/feature requests.

It's free. I find it excellent for cases where you just want to encode audio and copy the video stream to another container.

It's a Gui front end for command line programs. One tip, after you load your files and select all your settings, before hitting Encode Button make sure you hit Apply Button. I guess it needs that to flush the Gui settings to variables to send to the command line tools.

Auto GK is another freeware program that works great for avi/divx conversion.
