DVDfab, why does this happen?

Hi,

Why does this happen sometimes when I try to convert an avi file using dvdfab. Some work, some don't!

Sorry if this is a simple question. But I don't know what is happening so I am unable to search for the cause.

If you paid for DVDFab I think I'd ask the authors. I don't know how to get any information from a blank screen. Seems like the older I get the less clairvoyant I become.

Sorry, that picture has changed. How I don't know. The picture should have a thin vertical line about two inches wide running down the center. All the picture is crammed into this area. The rest of the screen is black.

I'll try post it again later. I was hoping somebody might have seen it before and know what's going on.

I've approved several versions of the screenshot you uploaded, but I can't actually see any "thin vertical lines" in any of the versions you've uploaded.

Sometimes when you try to capture a screenshot of video playing, it only captures the surface holding the video and not actually the content of the video itself (so when you close the video, the screenshot simply shows a black area where the footage used to be).

That certainly seems to be whats happening. Hard to get the head around.

I'll do it manually.

The solution is to update DVDfab from ver. 8.2.1.3. ver. 8.2.1.5.
A known bug.
