Video not opening in PgcEdit, VB ....

I am unable to open a video in PgcEdit, VobBlanker or FixVTS.

While it can be played with Media Player Classic and Windows Media Player, VLC posts the error “VLC’s unable to open the MRL”. This message seems typically to indicate inability to access an external file, owing typically to a Firewall blockage; but this isn’t relevant here.

I would be grateful for any clues as to what the problem is.

You have not provided enough info. What is that file? I suppose it's a DVD, since PgcEdit can open DVDs only. What is the behaviour of PgcEdit? Does it display an error message? And the other programs?
Also, can you verify the format of the video file with MediaInfo?

Oh, and are you sure that the DVD has been correctly decrypted? Is it a DVD disc, or a rip to hard disc? You cannot open a CSS protected DVD in PgcEdit, and probably in most other programs or players, unless they have the permission to decrypt the DVDs. Of course, if the original DVD was protected and has simply been copied without decrypting it, the copy is useless.

Found the problem –I deleted an é from the title and all’s well. Sorry for the false alarm.
