    Error:\nCannot connect TRF?

    Hello all,
I'm a little new to everything, but I've been using Shrink and Nero for a while with no complications, and now I'm getting errors. At first I just received a burn error, I updated to the newest Nero and now I get "Cannot connect TRF". I've read the forums and guides and see that some people have issues with the latest Nero. I'll post the log, and definitely appreciate any help.

i'd uninstall nero completely from your pc with the clean tool. then re-install your old version of nero 6. see this thread for additional possible solutions to this error.

When you say "clean tool", would that be add/remove in the control panel?

                Hi SuperMichael,

                10:14:33 PM #4 NEROAPI 7 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3095
                Error:\nCannot connect TRF.
This kind of error seems particularly to indicate that the swap file or page file of your system is set too. It should be 1.5 time the amount of RAM you have. For example, you have 512 MB of RAM, set both Initial size and Maximum size at 768.

Here is the steps to do that:

Right-click My Computer, select Properties, and click Advanced tab. At the Performance part, click Setting, and then click Advanced tab. At the Virtual memory, click Change. Pay attention at the current Initial size and Maximum size. Change them, click Set and then OK when done. Restart your PC after the adjustment

Please try and let us know the result

                Regards

Wrong, he has 127 Megs free

all you have to do is quit using shrink to call up nero to burn!
been there and done that both ways

no way of knowing for sure if burning is enabled by that log though.

what confirms that? are you saying that error is only generated by shrink>nero enabling?

ok supermichael. you know what to do. disable burning with nero in shrink's preferences.

                              1. update to latest nero as I first posted, burn manually and even scan,
monitor memory in use and notice changes as I did, scan disk!
                              2. correlate new errors with noob's logs posted and notice that memory in use
is less than what I observed when buring manually(as posted)!
                              3. Make the assumption that something is tying up memory.
                              4. Test by enabling shrink to call up nero to burn and duplicating this same
                              error posted by noobs.
                              5 Case closed!
