Imgburn "MODE" message.

Hi All,
I just got this message for the first time with Imgburn...it says my ISO doesn't seem to be the correct format for burning onto a DVD.

Image Format : MODE1/2336
DVD Format : MODE1/2048

What does this mean?? I've never seen this before in all the months I've used Imgburn.
BTW..the ISO was created by Shrink, but I don't think that matters.

Well..I backuped the movie again to an ISO using Shrink, and it came out wrong again, so I then opened the "bad" ISO in Shrink and backed that up to a new ISO file and it came out ok. (MODE1/2048). I wonder why the original ISO's were coming out in the wrong MODE?

So you did a defrag and everything went back to normal??

I emptied that partition and formatted slow ntfs and then reloaded the data

it was on the same drive as my system partition, not sure what happened but scared me

I meant output to HF files then use ImgBurn to make your ISO (or just bypass it).

How very odd!

Once you'd loaded the image into ImgBurn, did it say Mode 1 / 2336 on the main screen next to the 'Sectors' text?

If your having some other software program create the ISO image for you that won't load into ImgBurn, why don't you let ImgBurn create the dual layer ISO image for you and burn.

1. Output files from your ripping software program in VIDEO TS FOLDER format.
2. Using ImgBurn in build/device mode load the VIDEO TS FOLDER into ImgBurn. ImgBurn will show you the best location for layer break.
3. ImgBurn creates a dual layer ISO image and automatically burns to a DVD-9 disk if you have it loaded.
4. Use DVD+R media and book type settings. ImgBurn will tell you if your screwed -up along the process and automatically correct the problem for you.
5. ImgBurn is the best ISO image creation and burning tool you can find.

I had made some ISO's from the same files using different programs. They all produced ISO's that were fragmented. ImgBurn however produced a non fragmented ISO. I tried it a few times with the same results. IMO, ImgBurn is the only way to go.

HI Lightning...sorry not to get back sooner..but to answer your question, Yes, it did say MODE1/2336 on the main screen.
But when I ran that ISO through Shrink and created another ISO, the new ISO was correct and burned fine.
