help with media player

I don't know where to post this. I'm probably in the wrong forums. to ask this question. But I'm having a problem with my media player.
when I try and play a dvd movie is really bad jerky and the sounds is bad.
Like in and out sound.
I can't figure out a way to fix this. So was going to ask here
what to do.

have you try to Down load VLC and see?

and how do I on here have it to where when someone replies to my post it will send me an email saying I have reply to my posts. So I know that someone had reply. I had to come back here and do a search to find my post.

Subscribe to the thread.

Also go to User CP .Then Edit options and make sure you have instant mail notification selected for subscribed threads.

Is there any software you use will attack it,I am not sure,but after I deleted something my media player was well
