Default Windows media file question

I converted some home videos to wmf format for my wifes laptop. For some reason, She doesn't have the ability to fast forward, advance a chapter or literally drag the progress bar forward to advance through the video.

What did I do wrong?

I've had that problem before.

Sometimes Windows Media stuff has the "live" flag, even though it's not.
Try the program AsfTools and open the file, there should be a checkbox to make it live or not, and make sure that's unchecked.
