    Somebody Help Me!!!

Hi, I'm running a 450mhz P2 with 640Mb of ram and a 64Mb 3Sis Vid card. I downloaded Koepi's build Xvid Codec and I use BSPlayer. All my Divx files run like magic but the Xvid files are tempermental. Sometimes they'll work but most of the time the picture is very distorted. It plays, but its totally screwed. The sound is fine no matter what, tho. I can force the Xvid files to play by making them eensy weensy and forcing RGB mode but that's a bummer. Is my hardware not up to snuff or what? Somebody help!

Why don't you just stick to creating DivX files?

I was downloading and viewing, not creating the files. I figured it out anyway. I recommend Nic's build of Xvid instead of Koepi's because in the BSPlayer options it allows you to configure more of the codec's functions. I figured my **** out right away..

          Genocide_Ender,

Give FFDShow a try as well. It can decode XviD files and has far more options than Nic's simple decoder. It is also on the lean side in terms of CPU requirement.
