    TMPGEnc b12a

An interesting little test (probably posted about a billion times)
A comparison test between TMPGEnc B12a and 2.53 for MPEG-2 compression. Also tests DivX 5.0 Pro.

Does anyone know where I could get TMPGEnc b12a? They say
that it has better quality than the new versions, and from their
results I agree, but i can't find TMPGEnc b12a anywhere. Does
anyone have a link or a file to send to me by e-mail? If you
have a file, say so and I'll put my e-mail up to send it to.

I love this version. sometimes it can encode files which my new version crashes at. IT ROCKS !

thanks, Neo. That did it! Great help! I think this should probably go in the DVDDigest downloads section because it a better release.
For anyone who cares, I made a self extractor with the patched version. It's on my web space at:

edit: You are the one, Neo

Where is the proof that the quality of 12a is better new versions? Please provide an URL so I can compare. THANKS a lot.

jeez, way to ressurect a dead thread
Read the first link - that's the one I referred to. TMPGENC b12 seems to be a bit slower but a fair bit more detailed. All up to personal pereference!

normaly no, unless you demuxed an audio stream (like ac3 for example) but it's nice to see if it will be in sync. see the FAQ

no mp3 is the most accepted audio input for TMPGEnc. you may need the mp3 codec. read the FAQ thoroughly!
