Since i've installed divx4 codec (i've also divx3.11 installed ) under win2k, the movies are showing heavy interferencing straight horizontal lines while playback. i didn't have these problems with only divx3.11 installed.
What can I do about that??? That's really nasty. (add. info: i have a guillemot maxi gamer cougar graphics card installed) |

from my p-o-v divx4 sucks badly.
i've experienced the very same and removed opendivx completed, which i install for testing purposes. in case you need it for playback of existing files, i wouldnt wanna be in your shoes. if you wanted to use it as a codec capable of multipass features, better use NANDUB with divx 3.x or even better (imho) with M$ v2 |

I've had the exact opposite experience with DIVX 4.02
I was thoroughly disgusted with divx 3.11. the quality was total crap IMHO...and i never used it, i preferred mpeg-1... then I tried 4.02 with 2-pass encoding, and oh man it is awesome!!! of course i have to keep the resolution down to something smaller than I'd like, otherwise my computer can't play it back properly... what resolution or size movie are you trying to encode and play back??? what processor do you have? I have a P3 733 mhz and i basically can't do anything more than 400 x 300 or so... |
