Have I missed something here? Is this related to an earlier thread? Can you just remind of your OS and the Summary under Windows file properties, ie which codec is used?

hmm, not been born knowing, well, agreed.
what about lets say the learned ability to read and post necessary information on your specific problem? and btw: take a look at trancemasters other postings and you should see, he tries his best to be of help. ################## so back to the basic question: what additional information could you provide? |

Hey RichPuke,
My point of that post was not to abuse newbies, in fact after having read my own post several times over, I still cannot understand how you came to the conclusion that I was abusing you. Even if your question was linked to an earlier thread, it still wouldn't have hurt to put some info in, or at least a link to the previous thread. You then go on to bitch about being abused 'cos your a newbie, but still don't post the info! I agree we were all newbies once, myself not very long ago, but I still don't see that as an excuse for not posting info! BTW, thanks to Elenkis for providing the link! |

Have any of you folks considered the possibility that you've downloaded dummy files with fake headers? have any of you examined the file with a hex editor, to see what the actual contents of the file are?

I've been having the same problem, also had it with harry potter. I've also looked in an Hex Editor comparing it to another Video File that works, I think something is missing but i don't know what to do to fix it.
