Question-2 Problems with DVD Genie and PowerDVD

Can anyone help. I downloaded DVD Genie to try and prevent me using my last 2 region code changes before PowerDVD locks it. So I used it in the way I thought how (Go to the PowerDVD tab, tick the region I'd like to change to, click apply, then click run) but it still comes up with the screen saying 'you are in region code 2 and this disc can only play region code 1...'

I have tried ticking the box in DVD genie that says switch region codes, and I have also checked my DVD ROM with the Discinfo package which says my DVD ROM has no region code protections.

If can help or see what I'm doing wrong, I would be v. grateful if you'd let me know.

Cheers

To answer my own question,

I went to

http://www.elby.org/english/corp/index.htm

and downloaded a program called Region Killer 2 which is supposed to solve the problem like what DVD genie does. However, this actually worked. So anyone experiencing this problem or anyone who wants region free on their 'unlocked region' DVD, go and have a look at this website.

Good luck
