Region Codes

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 4000, 500 MHz 128Mb Ram & OS windows ME. The DVD player is a Toshiba sd2402-1015 and it has the RPC2 protection so the DVD Genie will not allow me to switch the region codes unlimited. My question is can a by a second DVD player from Dell and use that one for region 2 and the original DVD player for region 1. That way I only have to swap out the DVD players when I want to play a DVD from a different region?
