Unhappy Windows region coding

I have flashed my DVD drive and checked with Driveinfo that it now reads the drive with "No Region protection" but when I use DVD Genie it does not change my windows XP setting and it shows with 1 remaining change, how can this be reset?

In DVD Genie (at least for WinDVD), isn't there a simple "Reset" button with an instruction above that states something to the effect of, "Press the Reset button to reset the counter"?

Thumbs down

It maybe because I have WinDVD 3.1 which is not on the list of
DVDGenie 4.05 or Windows XP but the reset button does not change
the windows region change counter, any other ideas?
Thanks

"but the reset button does not change
the windows region change counter"

I believe it just keeps resetting it to "1"...

P.S. I too have v.3.1 and, although it's not on the list, all of the Genie (v.4.05) functions work properly.

Default The only way: reformat

Doing a clean reinstallation of Windows might fix the problem. I don't think you want to do that though. I have the same problem.
