I have 2 DivX movies I downloaded, but I can't seem to have the proper audio codec to play it or to convert it to something else (VCD).
I used VirtualDub to check file properties and it reports an unknown audio codec with "TAG 0161". Windows Media player doesn't play either (video but no sound). I've never had this before and I have many tens of DivX movies with no problem. Anyone came across this problem before? Thanks. |

Erm, only solution I can think of is to download the nimo codec pack ... if the codec you need isn't in that pack then I have no idea where else to look

I spent countless hours in looking around and trying I don't know how many converters, codecs, etc, but never thought of looking at this pack.
But yes, all that searching led me to think the missing codec had to be the WMA, and indeed after installing the pack, there it found it....and everything works just fine. THANKS A LOT!!!!!!
