Sdr 1002 toshiba

Hi everyone I am completely new to this and have downloaded the x840 hex thing to make my dvd region free, and I don`t know how to put the damn thing on the computer, I think I`m supposed to be in DOS mode but if I am I don`t know how to do that either!!!! Sorry if this sounds completely thick but I am really lost here and don`t know what to do next so if anyone can help with a detailed guide as to how to "flash" this thing!!! for me I would be grateful otherwise I`m going outside to throw myself under a bus!!!!!!!!! Thanks Alan
I`m using Windows ME if that helps, thanks!
