Hi
I have a thinkpad 600 with a toshiba region free dvd rom. This has always worked fine with my Margi decoder card. I installed XP Pro which tells me the DVD is region 2 with no changes left. I use a utility on region free sites which tells me it is region free. Using Margi's region free hack it still only works with region 2. Any other region just doesn't play leaving a black screen. Is there a way to reset XP's regions, a registry hack etc... Can someone help |

I have win xp PRO and made my drive region free (with patched firmware).
I use DVD GENIE, that reset's to 1 the win xp region selection. It works find, every time you watch a dvd launch it from it. YOu can downoad it here: http://www.inmatrix.com/files/dvdgenie_download.shtml THis will only work if your drive is region free. If you want to check this you should use Drive Info you can have by clicking here http://www.inmatrix.com/files/drvinf_download.shtml For more informations or downloads visit http://www.inmatrix.com/ I hope this helps Cheers Nez |
