Acer Region Free Help

Hi All,

I used all the instructions to properly make my Acer 1640 DVD drive region free using the pioneer DVD-115 RPC-1 patch. The upgrade was successful but when i try to play a DVD which is region 1 ( mine was set to Region 2 ) it still shows me this disc is not suitable for this region. I have tried using even the DVD region killer software but no luck.

Any help in this regard would really help.

This message u get I suspect is from PowerDVD or WINDVD or whatever program u are using.

Why did u use a firmware which is not for your DVD?
Does your DVD Drive works on other DVD's or....?
