I have a COMPAQ PRESARIO 1700 laptop with LG8080B DVD. I need to make it region free. I found the file LG_1x13, which I believe will flash upgrade the DVD. Problem I have is the DVD is in a thing called Futurebay, and swaps out with the floppy. I cannot boot separately from the floppy, and I can not access the bios. The system runs Windows XP. Is there a way I can flash the DVD while I am booted up? What do you suggest?
