I have a KT7a with Win98SE, Geforce 2 MX 400 etc.
This may or may not have anything to do with my problem but; I was having some problems with a USB device (a ADSL modem) - all my USB devices stopped working on the main USB ports. I reinstalled the modem drivers and finally fixed the problem by using the USB plate that plugs into the motherboard. Anyway, ever since then, 7/10 times when I play DivX files (3.11 alpha or DivX4) the screen will go completely blank (but the signal is still being received because the monitor doesn't go into standby), i can't get out of it without rebooting the PC. Occasionally instead of the blank I will get a BSOD abotu viagart.vxd (the VIA AGP miniport driver). I have tried: -doing a 'soft' format (delete windows folder only then install windows again) -reinstalling the DivX codecs -reinstalling WMP. -playing the files with a different software other than WMP. -reinstalling the VIA drivers -installing the updated via drivers in both Standard and turbo mode. No luck yet (((Anyone have any ideas?
