    Removing all codecs

I have been downloading alot of movies and lately a large number of them are not working. I Have tried to fix the problem in about every way listed on an internet forum anywhere. In trying to solve the playback problems I downloaded several codecs and codec packs and now they are all conflicting with each other

I need to know how to completely delete all of my codecs i mean all. I used the uninstall on some i.e. AC3 3ivx xvid...but i still have many that are left. I tried unregistering them with radlight but then could not delete so if

******Anyone can provide a way to delete all of my codecs or knows a program that will do it for my i would really appreciate the help.

a format & clean install of windoze would be ideal. radlight filter manager is able to unregister codecs, perhaps you are not using it correctly. other than that, you could try 'codec sniper' http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Codec_Sniper

my list of what is needed regarding codecs/filters on any PC:

ffdshow - get it from http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiw...etting+ffdshow

nvidia purevideo codec (you can substitute windvd/powerdvd here) -for dvd's/mpeg-2 (i use dscaler instead, IMO it beats everything else)

real alternative - so you don't have to install 'realone player'

quicktime alternative - so you don't have to install quicktime

media player classic - extremely stable and fast media player. best player ever.

oggDS filter - directshow filter for ogm/ogg

windows media player 10 if you wish

that's it. install nothing else, especially codec packs
