Several users have stated they started to encounter burn errors in DVD Shrink when "Burn with Nero" was enabled after updating to version 6.6.1.4. I highly recommend if you are going to use Nero to burn, you use version 6.6.0.18 .

If you upgraded to version 6.6.1.4 and now you cannot burn because you get the "Error:\nCannot connect TRF" error message, you need to run the clean tool by Nero before you downgrade back to 6.6.0.18. You can get the clean tool here.

To download this version, you must have a serial key to input !

Download Nero version 6.6.0.18 here: Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

Edit: Nero 7 does work with DVD Shrink from what I have been told.

This error code is listed under the heading [NEROAPI]

Other error codes under this heading

2=Initialization failed
3=Read error
4=Write error
5=User abort
6=The current recorder does not support Disc-at-once recording.
7=Error:\nCannot connect TRF.
8=Unknown NeroAPI error

Wonder if the trick is just to install an older NeroAPI.dll than the one shipped in 6.6.1.4

Hi Guys
The error occurs immediate after DVD-Shrink finish copying the movies files to the HD, as soon as you put a new DVD-Media in the drive to start burning it shows an error that say that say burn cannot continue because video compilation failed.
At first I thought it has something to do with the new movie "Memoir of a Gesha" that I had used PgcEdit to copy to my HD, I deleted the copied files from my HD and re-copied it again and still had the same error.
Previously before copying "Memoir of...." I had copied "King Kong" in the same drive and burned it without any problem. Now I'm stuck and your help.

the solution is very simple just burn manually, turn off burning with nero from shrink.

Thanks Chewy, I tried that using Nero Express and Nero Burning Rom and still got the same error. Is there another software that you can recommend for burning rather than Nero and ImgBurn?

I have nero version 6.6.0.18 and my DVDShrink is enabled to burn with nero and isn't working but it did work before my computer crashed last week.I am just manually burning at the moment.I am not sure what happened that made it stop auto burning from shrink now.

Try reinstalling shrink, it has to beinstalled after nero
