CPU during analyze will often go to 100% usage. Have you checked to see how much memory you are using during the burn phase? How much stuff is running in the back ground? You may just need to do a bit of optimizing. Check the general computing forum for the guides on optimizing and freeing up resources. You may not need any more memory, many here only run with 512Mb.

Have you checked your DMA? If it is not set correctly during the burn you will see CPU usage go up and down like a bouncing ball.
