Default Divx4 movie

I can see them only in a window with their own resolution, if I resize I get squared images and average number of fps goes under 25. I guess is someone related to direct x 8.1 or new drivers of my vga (hercules 4500 tv), because everything worked fine few weeks ago.
Can someone help please?

Maybe you need to activate the hardware acceleration of your vga.

Thanks for your reply,
but what do you mean for "activate hardware acceleration"?
Hardware acceleration is on "Max". I guess my problem is related to the upgrade of Direct X or Vga drivers I made recently.
I think I will re-install my OS (winme)

You'll be safer with Win98, ME is a bit crap, in the same way that drinking bleach is a bit stupid. Or try XP, sure, it might come with a whole new set of error messages and bugs, but at least it makes a better job of getting out of them than the dreaded blue screen of death, eradicated thanks to the lack of DOS. I swear, I got to see the error "System halted, restart your computer" message so often, I began to dream about it.

Alternatively, try Linux.

Thanks for your reply,
but I've alredy reinstalled
now the problem has gone, it was due to creative webcam go drivers that I've installed and uninstalled after I understood that
they are the cause (I hope they didn't make any damage during
their short period of new existence on my vergin pc). But I still have that problem when I set 24 bit colour in Vga properties.
Do you know why?
