The funny thing is that no one cared before the creation of torrents.

My mom has a bunch of casette tapes that were recorded using two tape decks and other people's tapes. I'm sure that was common practice in the 80s, why is it such a big deal now? As long as it's under the table and not released on torrents, I don't see the big deal...
