I will have my own monthly detailed analysis up on my blog next week, but what is interesting for the US NPD March figures are that Wii is completely dominating the gaming market (sold nearly as much as the PS2, PS3 and 360 combined!), to levels that nobody thought possible. It really has been the success story of the last two years.
Microsoft's excuse for spending the last two month selling below the PS3 was stock issues. They said that the problem would partially clear in March and it would go away by April in time for GTA IV. Not sure if you can trust their reasons, but the figures seems to have panned out with the 360 on top of the PS3 again.
The PSP is selling extremely well again, and I think Blu-ray's victory plus the new integrations with the PS3 has helped it sell very well.
Microsoft still dominating the software charts though, with 4 titles in the top 10, the most of any console (including portables).
