Felt exactly the same way about 2 & a half years ago when I flashed my first drive, (LG 4163B), scared to death. I had just got the computer & the drive, brand spanking new. Thanks to a few people here, flashed the drive in safe mode after making sure there was no discs in the drive. If you follow the instructions & make sure you choose the right drive you should be okay, but there are no guarantees. Something you could try to take Nero out of the equation is use ImgBurn, it does create a log also, so if it fails you could also post that. The more info, the more your chances of getting this solved. If you use ImgBurn I would try an 8X burn.

Sorry its off topic i know

I have a burnt PCB card on my western digital 120gb drive model (WD1200BB-00FTA0)

I am desperately looking for a replacement, I noticed you have the same model, the only way to restore my files is to replace my burnt pcb on the drive with the exact same pcb (it has to be the same model)

I Would you like us to make a deal, I'll buy you a 500GB drive and ship it to your home, in exchange for the PCB card.

What do you think ? Thanks
