MPAA faults college students for revenue losses

Music isn't the only industry where online piracy has been an issue. The film industry is dealing with the effects of illegal downloading, and a portion of the blame is because of college students, according to the Movie Picture Association of America (MPAA).

"Gregory Trim (junior-chemical engineering) said he knows many students who download films illegally, but believes film downloading is wrong because of the effort it takes to create movies in the first place."

    Hmm.

You mean the effort made by, let's say, Sony... to take a film that was made by another individual, put their name on it, and make a DVD that even a third grader could top? And then complain about piracy?

    Yeah. I know the feeling.

Seriously. It's not like the people who make the film (or even the actors) are complaining. It's the ones who do virtually no work at all... all they do is distribute it and sue people left and right. Jeez, give me a break here.
