Apple boosts iPhone line-up with new model

Apple is introducing a new, speedier version of its popular iPhone with a host of new features including video capabilities, a better camera and longer battery life.

    -- snip --

Apple will retain the existing 8GB version of the iPhone 3G. In the US, Apple has halved the price of this model to $US99, plus a two-year contract.

A $99 iPhone will be very attractive indeed, even in this poor economy. Cheaper than some of the very mediocre media players and phones.

yet they still refuse to add memory expansion support.
This is one reason I love my G1. The new Android open-souce OS for it is another very attractive feature.

I'm just waiting for the Zune HD to come out.

Why have such a fancy phone, then you have to worry about it getting stolen... I'm happy with my EnV².
