    Jeff Bezos, Amazon Boss, Apologises for 'Stupid' Kindle Deletions

    Amazon boss Jeff Bezos has made a statement in regards to the "1984" Kindle controversy by calling it 'stupid' and 'thoughtless'.

    This is an apology for the way we previously handled illegally sold copies of 1984 and other novels on Kindle. Our "solution" to the problem was stupid, thoughtless, and painfully out of line with our principles. It is wholly self-inflicted, and we deserve the criticism we've received.     I'm liking the fact that people are making a lot of noise about DRM these days, and with DRM being viewed as something negative, it's only a matter of time before it completely disappears. I can't wait.
