Mininova Ordered by Dutch Court To Remove All Infringing Torrents

Mininova has lost a civil suit brought against it by BREIN, the Dutch equivalent of the MPAA and RIAA.

Mininova has three months to comply, or they could face fines up to 5 millions Eurors.

The judge in the case ruled that while no direct infringement has been proven (since sites like Mininova are indexes, not direct download sites), Mininova has not done enough to protect copyright holders.

Mininova is considering an appeal.

They won't have any content left if they do that.........even if they do "flag" what they currently have that is "copyrighted", what happens to the new torrents that are uploaded that infringe on copyrights...someone would have to manually look at each new torrents which would be a long and tedious process
