The PS3 is one of the few, if not the only, Blu-ray players that can be software upgraded to support 3D Blu-ray, but users waiting to experience 3D movies in the comfort of their own home will have to wait a bit longer than previously thought.
While 3D support is coming in June, it will only be for PS3 3D games. 3D Blu-ray support will come later in the year, months after the release of 3D Blu-ray standalone players.
It is unknown if this delay is due to developmental issues, or whether it is created intentionally to give 3D standalones a chance at the retailer.
