Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II "Alway On" DRM Finally Cracked?

CNET reports that Ubisoft's "Always On" DRM for the game Assassin's Creed II may have finally be successfully, and fully, cracked. Previous cracks did not offer the complete gaming experience, as missing files (those that had to be downloaded from Ubisoft's DRM server) caused missions to fail to load, with the only option being downloading someone else's savegames to continue the missions.

But cracking group SKiDROW has released a crack that claims to allow the entire game to be played, and comments from users on Torrent websites such as The Pirate Bay suggests the crack does indeed work.

Assassin's Creed II for the PC was released early in March, making this cracking effort one of the longest, and possibly the hardest so far. But given time, it seems all DRM systems can be cracked.

It appears the DRM for Ubisoft's Settlers 7 has also been cracked, this time by group Razor1911. Razor1911 claims they're the first to crack Ubisoft's DRM, as SKiDROW's effort was based on a system flaw, rather than an actual successful crack:
