MPAA Wants The Pirate Bay To Pay Up

The MPAA is demanding the co-founders of The Pirate Bay to pay up the fine ordered by a judge for the failure to close the BitTorrent website.

However, co-founders argue they've already complied with the order and close down the Pirate Bay's tracker, but the MPAA say that is not enough.

And judging by activity on The Pirate Bay, the MPAA is correct, since shutting down the centralized tracking system has merely allowed The Pirate Bay to be more resilient to efforts to shut it down completely. Using magnet links, DHT and open trackers, The Pirate Bay can operate without interruption and has turned into a website that's basically just a collection of links. Even .torrent files are not longer necessary thanks to the popularity of magnet links.

It seems the MPAA's actions against The Pirate Bay has made the entire BitTorrent community much more stronger and able to deal with the closing down of trackers, or removal of .torrent files.

The MPAA has no clue as to what that they are doing. They are clueless as to how the Bittorrent really works. They were and are seeing the dollar signs and not seeing what can and will happen with how they are going about shutting down the torrents.
