Toshiba Launches 3D Notebook with Blu-ray Playback

Toshiba has let go of the ill feelings towards Blu-ray after their HD DVD format lost to Sony's format in the HD format wars, and has fully embraced Blu-ray, including 3D Blu-ray, in their latest notebook.

The "Toshiba DynaBook TX" includes a 15.6" LED-backlist LCD panel that can refresh at the 120Hz necessary for 3D, and includes Nvidia's 3D Vision technology to make it all happen.

Also included is a Blu-ray drive, and a copy of WinDVD that supports 3D Blu-ray.

Other features include an Intel Core i7-740QM processor, 4GB of RAM, and the GeForce GTS 350M to power the 3D functions.

The DynaBook TX is expected to launch at the end of July in Japan.
