U.S. District Court Judge Kimba Wood has ruled against the RIAA's request to freeze the asset of file sharing website LimeWire and the assets of its founder, Mark Gorton.
Judge Wood came to the decision after examining accounts and finding no evidence that the company, or its founder, had plans to move assets out of reach before a final ruling on a permanent injunction, and damages that LimeWire may be liable for, will be made in the near future.
Legal experts predict that Judge Wood will order the file sharing website shut down when she makes the final ruling.
