With everyone and their dog expecting Nintendo to unveil the Wii 2 at E3, in June, the rumour mill has been working overtime.
Pretty much everyone expects the Wii 2, dubbed "Project Cafe", to be HD, and that's probably an easy one to guess, to be fair.
But the latest rumours say the Wii 2 will be even more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3. On the surface, this goes against the modus operandi of Nintendo, at least for recent consoles, but if you take into account that the Xbox 360 and PS3 are mostly using hardware designed as early in 2005, and it's now 6 years later, and so would it be so surprising that the Wii 2 would be more powerful?
The most interesting rumour has Nintendo using a new controller that's more smartphone than Wii-mote. With built-in HD touch-screen, a front facing camera that also acts as a remote sensor bar (head tracking?). The controller is also said to feature bumpers, triggers, and everything else that has been standard in every other controller expect for the original Wii's.
Other rumours include Wii backwards compatibility, and even ability to download games from the console to the HD-screen equipped controller, for gaming on the go.
