Talking DivX standalone player

Hi,
Fujitsu-Siemens is offering a standalone player, which is
a celeron 700 PC running a modified win98. I saw in shop now, for about 450 Euro - has anyone tried this thing with DivX ?
If it works its IMHO the first working standalone player...

I think they could better use a modified version of Linux. It can be modified on a way that it's easy to use for playback of DivX. It's more stable than Win 98 and it's for free (so the same machine could be better and cheaper)
