When I try to embed subtitles, the file becomes TOO large?

I had downloaded DivX Land Media Subtitler and was using it happily to embed my subtitles. Except last time when I tried the file size reched 4GB and told me that there wasnt enough place on the disk....
How do I get my files to be normally sized again?

Sorry, I am not answering to your problem, the point is that I have a similar problem.
I see that you use DivXLand Media Subtitler 2.0.5 for some time, so you are used to it.
I am using it for the first time, and I can not embed subtitles because an ERROR message always come "VIRTUALDUB ERROR: Can't open script file". When I click OK everything disapears, I mean, scrip and video.
My script file is ".ssa", with 1086 lines, my video is ".avi", both have same name, and I have lots of space in my hard drive.
I first worked in scrip using the ".srt" file downloaded from Internet, after finish synchronization I converted to ".ssa" and used it to embed.
So, what am I doing wrong? It must be something very simple...
In case you can help me, I thank you very much.
