TSST corp CDW/DVD TS-H493B ATA Device

I have found a download of the firmware for this device named TS-H493B_KC00.exe. The problem is I do not know how to flash the device with this firmware. No instructions are provided and if I click on the file in Windows 7 I get a message stating that the publisher could not be verified. If I click on Run nothing happens.

I'm leery of flashing even when I get the code direct from the manufacturer. I'll do it if there's a pressing need. But unless I have pretty good assurance I can trust it, I wouldn't take the risk. Flashing is one of those things that can turn a working device into dead weight.
