    ** Can I Create A DVD 2 HDTV Video **

    Hi..

Is There A Way To Convert From DVD 2 HD Video, If Yes Can That Then Be Editing In Video Editing Programs.. Or Re Athourised In Lets Say ENCORE DVD 1.5.

Then Recompile And Create A Custom Made DVD.

    Is That Possible..

i'm not sure exactly what you're after here, but:

its possible to upscale a dvd to HDTV res, but the quality won't come anywhere near native HDTV content. not to mention it won't play on any standalone...

The custom made DVD won't play in a standalone, I don't think, and even if it plays, it will be limited to the maximum output resolution of the DVD players (which is, surprisingly enough, at DVD resolutions).

If you want DVDs to playback at HD resolutions, the best way to do this is to get a upscaling DVD player. It might also be possible to rig up your computer to your TV (asssuming your TV accepts computer inputs at high resolutions), use ffdshow's resize and sharpening filters to achieve the same effect.

i can confirm that a HDTV dvd CAN be made (at 1080i with dvdlab), but when played on a standalone/PC, its very very glitchy, and yes only a small portion of the image is displayed

The reason why they glitchy, and only reason why you see a small portion of the image is 1080i is the same resolution as 1900+ resolution.

For HD Video to work you need to have the right resolution format example (720i) is a 1280 x 1024 which will work on most PC Screens you MUST have a screen that is compatible with the resolution being used..
