Problem burning CDs

I recently removed Nero completely and am using decrypter and shrink to burn dvd's. Now I am unable to burn cd's using windows media player. Errors are variable. Sometimes it won't burn at all and other times will burn some tracks then hang. Any ideas?

ready for prime time
