I recently got a HP 640 DVD writer, however when i tried to burn a dvd using Nero and DVD decriptor the burn fails with an error SCSI command aborted. At first i assumed that this was a problem with the writer so i returned this to the shop, i received a new writer which i installed and managed to burn a dvd, however on further attempts to burn dvd's i'm once again receiving the error. I have no promblems burning cd-r just dvd.

When i get the error, i have to shut down and reboot will i still be able to print off the nero log?Comment

Maybe not. Do read the Golden Rules of Burning.
Maybe try to burn an ISO with DVD Decrypter instead of using Ner0

I have used dvd shrink which defaults through to dvd decrypter to burn and again this generates the same error. I have yet to try the suggestions in the golden rules of burning, i'll try these and let you know of the outcome. Thanks for your help.Comment
