I still hold my breath when i start a burn with the new x2, that bad burner, still has me shell shocked.Plus i uninstalled everthing Nvidia had in add and remove in the x2 and reinstalled the newest chipset drivers from Nvidia web site, now everthing looks different in divice manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, i sure hope i did it right. Maybe later we can work on breaking some records.
This burn was done on the Hp I did a test with the nec on the new x2 and it only scored a 99 but i cant find the image now.

I might have cheated it was a single layer movie and i burned with img burn.
ps does this look right for the divice manager for the x2 now?

the nec is just seeing stuff the other one doesn't see,

I am waiting for the benq 1650, but may order a liteon 1693.

I have been looking, if i do buy another do you suggest hooking up another ide or using the slave on the same ide as the other.Plus what do you think about the round ide cables antec sells, i have the flat ribon type, for floppy and ide.
