Hi, I was wandering if anybody knows if there will be a 64-bit version of DVD Shrink anytime in the future?

for xvid, since its not multithreaded, it depends on avisynth usage. avisynth does my cropping & resizing (and de-interlacing if needed), on one core, while the codec/vdub takes the other. small increase in speed, probably ~10%-20%
x264, on the other hand, gets a very nice boost (its definitely needed), varying between ~45%-70%. it doesn't fully utilize both cores, but i'd imagine it will before long
almost died when i saw speed of 40fps on a max (practical) quality encode, 1st pass. didn't die when i saw the second passComment

I personaly use an AMD Athlon 64 4000+, with the hardest of DVD's my back ups take about 1 hour, from start to finish. With the easy ones it is just down to how fast my DVD drive can read and write.Comment

Far Cry is a good 32-bit & 64-bit(patched from AMD) game.
64-bit software will come out, i should think that we will see them come out over the next few years along with programs designed to work with Dual Cores.Comment
